Dietary Aide (Part Time)
About The Position
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a part-time Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role supports nutritious meal service and positive resident and customer experiences. The Dietary Aide works with residents, staff, guests, administration, and HCSG leadership while carrying out daily food-service tasks and other assigned duties. The position requires compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies and current ServSafe or Food Handler certification when required by state or county law. Candidates must reside within the service area and be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks, work around food and cleaning products, and meet the listed physical requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 30 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
- Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
- Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on state or county law.
- Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
- Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
