About The Position
The Dietary Aide supports the nutritional and dietary needs of residents in a senior living and skilled nursing facility. The role helps prepare, serve, and deliver meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and individual resident care plans. Working with dietary and healthcare staff, the Dietary Aide helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment. Careful attention to detail and food safety standards helps prevent contamination and support compliance with health regulations. The position contributes to residents’ quality of life by providing compassionate food service tailored to their needs.
Requirements
- Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions accurately.
- Patience and strong interpersonal skills when interacting with residents.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

- Certification in food handling or dietary aide training.
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and serving meals according to prescribed dietary plans and facility standards.
- Follow written and oral instructions to ensure accurate meal delivery and portion control.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with dietary staff, nursing staff, and other team members to meet residents’ nutritional needs.
- Assist residents during mealtimes as needed, with patience and respect.
