About The Position
The Dietary Aide performs routine food preparation and delivery services for hot and cold foods at the facility in Canton, serving the Sioux Falls and Canton area. The role supports kitchen, dining, and serving area sanitation; prepares, serves, and stores food according to facility policies; and follows applicable regulations, menus, standardized recipes, food-handling methods, and sanitation procedures. The Dietary Aide also monitors menu and special-diet compliance and reports dietary concerns or complaints.
Requirements
- ServSafe Certification or a similar food safety certification, where required by the state and facility.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleanup and sanitation tasks in kitchen, dining, and serving areas.
- Prepare, serve, and store food in accordance with facility policies.
- Ensure compliance with state or federal regulations.
- Prepare foods according to standardized recipes and approved menus.
- Use service methods and food-handling techniques that ensure food quality.
- Apply sanitation procedures to provide a safe and healthy environment.
- Adhere to menu and special-diet requirements.
- Report dietary non-compliance, concerns, or patient complaints to the dietician, supervisor, or manager.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
