About The Position

Provides routine food preparation and delivery services for cold and hot foods in the facility. The role includes kitchen and dining-area sanitation, food preparation and storage, and compliance with facility policies, applicable regulations, standardized recipes, approved menus, and special-diet requirements. The Dietary Aide reports dietary non-compliance, concerns, or patient complaints to a dietician, supervisor, or manager.

Requirements

• ServSafe certification or a similar food-safety certification, where required by the state and facility.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleanup and sanitation tasks in kitchen, dining, and serving areas.
• Prepare, serve, and store food in accordance with facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with state or federal regulations.
• Prepare foods according to standardized recipes and the approved menu.
• Use service methods and food-handling techniques that ensure food quality.
• Apply sanitation procedures to provide a safe and healthy environment.
• Adhere to menu and special-diet requirements.
• Report dietary non-compliance, concerns, or patient complaints to a dietician, supervisor, or manager.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
