About The Position

The Dietary Aide performs routine food preparation and delivery services for cold and hot foods in the facility. The role includes preparing, serving, and storing food according to facility policies, approved menus, and standardized recipes while maintaining sanitation and food quality. The Dietary Aide helps ensure compliance with applicable regulations and dietary requirements, and reports dietary concerns or complaints to the appropriate staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• ServSafe Certification or a similar food safety certification, where required by the state and facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleanup and sanitation tasks in kitchen, dining, and serving areas.
• Prepare, serve, and store food in accordance with facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with state or federal regulations.
• Prepare foods according to standardized recipes and approved menus.
• Use service methods and food-handling techniques that maintain food quality.
• Apply sanitation procedures to provide a safe and healthy environment.
• Follow menu and special-diet requirements and report patient dietary non-compliance, concerns, or complaints to a dietician, supervisor, or manager.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
