About The Position

The Dietary Aide performs routine food preparation and delivery services for hot and cold foods in the facility. The role includes preparing, serving, and storing food according to facility policies and standardized recipes, while following approved menus and applicable regulations. The Dietary Aide also helps maintain clean and sanitary kitchen, dining, and serving areas and supports compliance with special diets and food-handling standards.

Requirements

• ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification, where required by the state and facility.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleanup and sanitation tasks in kitchen, dining, and serving areas.
• Prepare, serve, and store food in accordance with facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with state or federal regulations.
• Prepare foods according to standardized recipes and the approved menu.
• Use service methods and food-handling techniques that ensure food quality.
• Apply sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
• Follow menu and special-diet requirements, and report dietary non-compliance, concerns, or patient complaints to a dietician, supervisor, or manager.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
