About The Position

River Landing at Sandy Ridge, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), is seeking a Dietary Aide for a part-time, second shift position (11:00 am to 7:30 pm), working every other Saturday and Sunday. The community's mission is to honor God by enriching the lives and touching the hearts of those they serve, with core values focused on serving residents and teammates. They are looking for individuals with strong skills and a heart for service, who are enthusiastic about providing exceptional care and building relationships. The role involves preparing healthy and appetizing food for meals and snacks, maintaining high quality standards and portion control using standardized recipes. The dietary aide will also assume general responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the lead homemaker and plan/facilitate food-related activities for residents.

Requirements

• Completion of cross training for household housekeeping, household laundry, activities and dining services.
• Food handling certification (Serve Safe or equivalent).
• Ability to complete basic math problems.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Feeding assistant certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for household meals and snacks that are healthy and appetizing.
• Serve food in a timely manner.
• Maintain high quality standards and portion control using standardized recipes.
• Assume general responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the lead homemaker.
• Plan and facilitate activities for residents and the household that involve food preparation or other activities specific to the kitchen.
