About The Position

Provides routine food preparation and delivery services for cold or hot foods in the facility. Prepares and serves food according to approved menus, standardized recipes, facility policies, and applicable state or federal regulations. Supports safe food handling and sanitation practices, follows menu and special-diet requirements, and reports dietary concerns or non-compliance to appropriate staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• ServSafe Certification or a similar food safety certification, where required by the state and facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleanup and sanitation tasks in kitchen, dining, and serving areas.
• Prepare, serve, and store food in accordance with facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with state or federal regulations.
• Prepare foods according to standardized recipes and the approved menu.
• Use service methods and food-handling techniques that maintain food quality.
• Apply sanitation procedures to provide a safe and healthy environment.
• Adhere to menu and special-diet requirements.
• Report dietary non-compliance, concerns, or patient complaints to the dietician, supervisor, or manager.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
