About The Position

The Dietary Aide works closely with the dining services team at The Glenwood of Effingham. The role involves supporting meal service and maintaining a clean dining and kitchen area while providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers. This is a part-time, day-shift position.

Requirements

Possess any licenses and/or certifications required by the state licensing authority and maintain continuing education requirements, if applicable.
Obtain a Food Handlers Permit if required by state regulations.
Have compassion for and a desire to work with elderly people.
Demonstrate the ability to work responsibly both as a team member and independently.
Be honest, fair, dependable, respectful of confidentiality, and respectful of the rights and privacy of others.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public.
Meet all health requirements and pass background checks.

Nice To Haves

Six months of prior experience in a food service department is preferred.

Responsibilities

Set tables.
Bus tables.
Wash dishes.
Assist the cook as needed.
Complete cleaning duties.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
