About The Position

The Diet Office Call Center Representative will demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills at point of service and in resolution of complaints/concerns/questions. They will utilize basic diet therapy training to assist patients in selecting correct menu items as needed. This role performs needed office tasks in an appropriate and timely manner, including printing reports, processing requisitions, and entering menus. The representative will maintain food safety requirements according to HACCP and department standards, and maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring compliance with health department and facility requirements. Additionally, they will serve patient meals, assist with set up, and prepare snacks accurately and timely according to procedures. They will return to the patient room within a reasonable period of time to pick up dirty trays and confirm patient satisfaction, complying with hand hygiene, patient identification, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Other job duties may be assigned by a supervisor/manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is Required.
  • 1 year in food service position or applicable customer service Required.
  • FHC - Food Handlers Certificate 30 Days required.
  • Cooperative, discreet, and courteous.
  • Good communication, organization, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with hand hygiene, patient identification, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
