Our Food Services team at Green hospital is a vibrant team and is dedicated to serving the community with the highest quality of patient care experience. Located in the beautiful Torrey Pines area, we are one of the busiest cafes through serving our patients, staff and patient’s families. Our team has the opportunity to rotate positions within the café, patient services and catering areas within our department. Our Diet Clerks provide administrative and clerical support for Food and Nutrition Services. Responsibilities include processing diet orders, assisting patients with menu selections, and distinguishing between food and medication allergies, Maintains current diet orders and menus to ensure compliance to the physician diet order. Checks tray line for patient tray accuracy. Able to function effectively in a call center environment. Serves as a liaison between Nursing and Food and Nutrition Services departments handling patient complaints, food issues and basic questions about meals/diets.

Requirements

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English
  • SD County Food Handler Card; or Food Safety Certificate, or able to pass Food Handlers test given by certified manager or designee within 30 days of hire.
