About The Position

Peterbilt of Bethany is seeking experienced Class 8 and Medium Duty truck technicians (Diesel Mechanic) for a challenging career in the transportation industry. The role involves working on electronic engines (MX, Cummins, and CAT), performing preventive maintenance, DOT Annual inspections, and general truck and trailer repairs. Factory training is available for specific systems and electronic diesel engines (CAT, Cummins, and MX Paccar). The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, work well with colleagues, possess good computer skills, and a strong desire to provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Experience as a Class 8 and Medium Duty truck technician (Diesel Mechanic).
• Capability to work on electronic engines (MX, Cummins, and CAT engines) internally and externally.
• Skills to perform preventive maintenance, DOT Annual inspections, and general truck and trailer repairs.
• Positive attitude.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to work well with coworkers.
• Good computer skills.
• Strong desire to take care of customers.
• Self-motivated.
• Motivated to take advantage of classroom and on-line OEM training.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform electronic engine diagnostics and repairs (MX, Cummins, CAT).
• Perform diesel engine repair (MX, Cummins, CAT).
• Perform accurate and complete vehicle inspections (DOT, PM).
• Perform ABS diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform HVAC diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform electrical systems diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform air brake diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform wheel end repairs and adjustments.
• Perform suspension and steering diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform PM maintenance accurately and efficiently.
• Adhere to all warranty policies and procedures.
• Utilize electronic technical manuals and resources for diagnostics and repair.
• Provide accurate documentation on repair orders.
