About The Position

Pacific Rail Services (PRS) is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to maintain heavy forklifts, hostlers, and terminal vehicles at the CSX Bedford Park rail terminal. This role involves diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems, performing preventative maintenance, and adapting to diverse daily tasks in a dynamic environment. Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of diesel or heavy equipment experience.
• Possession of own hand tools.
• Knowledge of air brakes, electrical, hydraulics, and diesel engines.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a 7-year background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Maintain heavy forklifts, hostlers, and terminal vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair air, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Weld, fabricate, and problem-solve on the spot.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep operations flowing.
• Adapt and assist wherever needed.
