Requirements

  • 2 years of experience performing repairs on trucks and trailers, including mechanical, electrical, brake, and suspension systems, with hands-on use of diagnostic software and tools for troubleshooting.
  • Strong mechanical skills with proficiency in the repair and service of truck and trailer systems and components; experience with advanced diagnostics is preferred but not required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Strong verbal and documentation skills, with the ability to work well with others and maintain professional relationships at all levels.
  • Must own basic tools required for the job.
  • Vocational or technical certifications are highly valued; ASE certification is advantageous.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 70 pounds and be capable of climbing, kneeling, twisting, and bending in a variety of work environments.
  • Welding experience a plus.
  • Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with advanced diagnostics is preferred but not required.
  • Vocational or technical certifications are highly valued; ASE certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of fleet repairs and preventative maintenances, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
  • Diagnose and repair systems such as ABS, braking, hydraulic, light engine, pneumatic, and other related systems.
  • Utilize diagnostic software to assist with troubleshooting and efficient repair processes.
  • Accurately document work time, service reports, and equipment status to ensure precise billing and record-keeping.
  • Operate a service truck to reach various customer locations, ensuring a professional presence and communication with customers.
  • Responsible for decision-making surrounding vehicle diagnostics and repairs.
  • Conduct self in a professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining service truck, and truck inventory.
