About The Position
The Diesel Technician performs maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers in Bloomfield, Connecticut. The role includes preventive maintenance, annual inspections, troubleshooting, component replacement, and express services. The technician communicates status updates to internal customers. Starting pay is $26.20–$32.70 per hour, based on experience. Eligible non-exempt U.S. shop associates may receive additional hourly differentials for qualifying evening or overnight hours and weekend hours.
Requirements
- A technical degree in diesel technology or a related field, or at least one year of diesel technician experience.
- Experience with computer systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to provide personal tools within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, annual inspections, and repairs on tractors and trailers.
- Complete express services, including tire changes, brake adjustments, and minor electrical repairs.
- Troubleshoot equipment and replace components.
- Communicate status updates to internal customers.
