About The Position

Launch your career as a Diesel Technician—no prior experience required. If you're looking for a hands-on career with strong earning potential and long-term stability, Foley Equipment’s Fast Track Program offers a direct path into the diesel industry. In just 12 weeks, you’ll gain paid training, real-world shop experience, and the opportunity to transition into a full-time Caterpillar technician role. Foley Equipment is the authorized Caterpillar dealer in Kansas and northwest Missouri, with over 90 years of industry leadership. This is a full-time, paid 12-week internship designed to fast-track your entry into a technician career. Phase 1: 6 weeks of paid classroom and lab training. Phase 2: 6 weeks of paid, hands-on shop experience. Work alongside experienced technicians and dedicated mentors. Receive Caterpillar dealer-specific technical training. Travel may be required, including 3–4 consecutive weekdays for off-site training during the program. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible for consideration for a full-time technician position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attendance and reliability
  • Ability and willingness to learn technical skills in a structured program
  • Interest in building a long-term career in diesel technology
  • Ability to successfully complete program-related technical and aptitude assessments
