About The Position

As a level one Technician on the TA Truck Service team, you will provide accurate, efficient service by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a professional and accommodating manner. The role focuses on returning travelers to the road safely and in better condition. Technicians work in a customer-service-oriented environment, maintain knowledge of products and services, and complete repairs within their capabilities and as written. The role may involve interior and exterior work and flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays, in interior and exterior conditions.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Prior verifiable truck service experience preferred.
• Heavy-duty ASE certifications are not required, but are a plus.
• Dedicated team member who works well with others and is excited to be part of the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in a team environment focused on exceeding customer expectations.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of products sold and services provided.
• Diagnose wear conditions and make recommendations to customers together with a TSA or Manager.
• Complete repairs within their capabilities and as written.
• Understand Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members or customers.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
