About The Position

Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield is hiring an experienced Diesel Sprinter Technician for a full-time mobile service position in Fairfield, California. The role involves servicing Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans and other diesel-powered vehicles in the field, diagnosing complex concerns, and completing quality maintenance and repairs. The technician will have access to advanced diagnostic equipment, technical support, manufacturer training, and ongoing professional development while representing the Mercedes-Benz brand and coordinating with the dealership service team.

Requirements

2–3 years of professional diesel technician experience.
Strong diesel engine diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
Experience with electronic diagnostic equipment and modern vehicle systems.
Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage mobile service responsibilities.
Strong communication skills and commitment to quality workmanship.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter experience.
ASE Diesel Certifications.
Mercedes-Benz dealership experience.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair services on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans and other diesel-powered vehicles.
Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engine, fuel, electrical, brake, suspension, and drivetrain concerns.
Complete preventive maintenance and manufacturer-recommended services.
Identify mechanical issues, determine repair needs, and perform quality repairs.
Use electronic diagnostic tools and technical resources to resolve complex concerns.
Maintain accurate repair orders, service records, and documentation.
Coordinate with the dealership service team to support efficient service and customer satisfaction.
Maintain professional standards, safe work practices, and properly maintained tools and equipment.
