About The Position

Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield is hiring an experienced Diesel Sprinter Technician for a full-time mobile service position in Fairfield, California. The technician will service Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans and other diesel-powered vehicles, using diagnostic equipment and technical resources to diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles. The role offers field-service variety and independence, manufacturer training, technical support, and opportunities for professional development and career growth. Compensation is $45–$56 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

2–3 years of professional diesel technician experience.
Strong diesel engine diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
Experience with electronic diagnostic equipment and modern vehicle systems.
Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage mobile service responsibilities.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter experience is strongly preferred.
ASE Diesel Certifications are a plus.
Mercedes-Benz dealership experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair services on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans and other diesel-powered vehicles.
Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engine, fuel, electrical, brake, suspension, and drivetrain concerns.
Complete preventive maintenance and manufacturer-recommended services.
Identify mechanical issues, determine repair needs, and perform quality repairs.
Use electronic diagnostic tools and technical resources to resolve complex concerns.
Maintain accurate repair orders, service records, and documentation.
Coordinate with the dealership service team to support efficient service and customer satisfaction.
Maintain professional standards and safe work practices, and properly maintain tools and equipment.
