About The Position

This role involves working on West Direct Oil fuel delivery vehicles. The primary responsibilities include maintaining diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements, correcting vehicle deficiencies, making adjustments and alignments, and keeping records.

Requirements

• Must supply own tools
• Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures, maps, and route directions
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Possess and maintain a safe driving record
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Nice To Haves

• Engine diagnostics a plus
• Experience working with oil trucks a plus
• CDL License a plus

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing repairs and maintenance on equipment.
• Performing safety inspections of equipment and preparing safety documents required by the DOT, company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations.
• Interpreting work orders and technical manuals.
• Repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems.
• Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations.
• Working in a fast-paced work environment.
• Working with heavy equipment and in awkward positions.
• Working alone or as a team.
• Keeping up with changing technology and updates.
