About The Position

Core / FG Hydraulics is seeking an experienced, motivated, bilingual (English/Spanish) Diesel Mechanic to work in Pompano Beach, Florida. The role involves diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and complex repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines, trucks, crane trucks, and mobile hydraulic machinery, both in the shop and at customer field sites. The mechanic communicates with job site supervisors, operators, clients, and team members across varied environments, and must be fluent in English and Spanish.

The position also includes operating and maintaining company-issued crane trucks and service vehicles, completing digital service documentation using Mantelboard and Slack, and following OSHA standards, shop safety rules, PPE requirements, and hazardous-material management guidelines. Applicants must be able to commute to or relocate to Pompano Beach, FL 33064 before starting work.

Requirements

• Fluency in both English and Spanish, verbally and in writing.
• At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience in diesel engine diagnostics, heavy equipment maintenance, or hydraulic repair.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate diagnostic software, heavy shop tools, welding equipment, and power/hoisting gear.
• Ability to lift more than 50 pounds, bend, and stretch, and work in shop and outdoor field environments.
• Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Pompano Beach, FL 33064 before starting work.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose heavy-duty diesel equipment and trucks; perform diagnostic testing, oil changes, brake repairs, transmission service, and electrical and engine repairs.
• Uninstall, repair, overhaul, and test hydraulic components, including cylinders, pumps, valves, and hoses.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance on company-issued crane trucks and service vehicles in compliance with fleet safety standards.
• Communicate technical diagnoses, repair plans, and work progress to clients, field supervisors, and internal dispatch in English and Spanish.
• Complete digital service tickets, parts requests, safety audits, and job invoices using Mantelboard and Slack.
• Follow OSHA standards, shop safety rules, PPE requirements, and hazardous-material management guidelines.
