About The Position

Core Hydraulics / FG Hydraulics LLC is seeking a skilled bilingual (English/Spanish) Diesel Mechanic to work in Haltom City, Texas. The role involves diagnosing, servicing, and repairing diesel engines, heavy equipment, and integrated hydraulic systems to keep company machinery and customer equipment operating smoothly. The mechanic will work with shop leadership and team members to support efficient repair workflows and workplace safety.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of mechanical experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Technician, or Mechanical Shop Assistant.
• Knowledge of and hands-on experience safely operating power tools, hand tools, and shop machinery.
• Solid mechanical foundation and understanding of diesel engines, power trains, and hydraulic circuits.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish for safety and technical communication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and repair manuals.
• Ability to reliably commute in person to Haltom City, TX 76117.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial diesel engines, commercial trucks, and heavy equipment.
• Safely operate and maintain shop equipment, hand tools, and industrial power tools.
• Inspect, repair, and overhaul hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, and cylinders.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults using electronic diagnostic equipment and technical schematics.
• Collaborate with shop leadership and team members to optimize repair workflows and ensure workplace safety.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in optimal working condition.
