About The Position

Performs maintenance, repair, and diagnostic work on vehicles and equipment, including Class 6, 7, and 8 powered tractors. The role diagnoses and repairs mechanical and electrical systems, supports major component replacements, documents maintenance work, and tests vehicles after service to confirm proper operation. The mechanic collaborates with business partners for training and assistance on complex repairs and tasks.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Must provide and maintain personal maintenance tools.
• Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend English to perform job tasks, follow instructions and regulations, communicate with coworkers and the public, respond to inquiries, and review and complete required documents, reports, and records.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of diesel mechanic experience.
• Proficiency in diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain systems and parts associated with Class 6, 7, and 8 powered tractors.
• Diagnose failures and repair vehicles’ mechanical, electrical, and other systems.
• Use hydraulic jacks to access the underside of vehicles.
• Assist with replacing engines, transmissions, differentials, and springs.
• Troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty truck engines, braking, electrical, and exhaust systems.
• Document repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with business partners for training and assistance on complex repairs and tasks.
• Test vehicles after repairs and maintenance to ensure they function properly.
