About The Position

Shaw’s Distribution Center, a division of Albertsons Companies, is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Methuen, MA. This role is crucial for maintaining the refrigerated trailers and reefer units that support grocery distribution operations. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy duty tractor/trailer repair.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to obtain EPA Section 608 Certification.
• Ability to obtain ASE Heavy Truck Certification.
• Ability to work full-time with the ability to work any shift.

Nice To Haves

• Truck, trailer, reefer, diesel, or HVAC experience preferred.
• CDL preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency and maintenance software experience preferred.
• May require valid DOT physical card and a CDL driver's license.
• May need certification in the use of refrigerants and recycling equipment.
• ASE Certifications.
• PA State Inspection License a plus.
• 608 & 609 Refrigeration Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair refrigerated trailers and reefer units.
• Diagnose Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Support trailer and fleet reliability for grocery distribution operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment.
• Read electrical and refrigeration schematics.
• Identify warranty repairs and complete documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, OSHA-compliant work environment.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and fellow technicians.
