About The Position

Mullens Markings is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair its fleet of trucks and specialized equipment. The position helps ensure fleet and equipment are maintained, repaired, and ready for crews and operations. The role is based in Culpeper, Virginia, and works an overnight shift from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

Mullens Markings is a full-service pavement marking and line striping contractor and an operating company of Road Safety Services (RSS), a provider of pavement marking and traffic control services with operations across more than 23 states and more than 50 locations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license; a CDL is preferred.
• At least 2 years of diesel mechanic experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work the 7:00 PM–5:00 AM overnight shift.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working on pavement marking or roadway construction equipment.
• CDL.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel trucks and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and brake systems.
• Repair hydraulic hoses.
• Perform occasional field repairs.
• Complete welding and light fabrication as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Maintain a clean and safe shop.
