About The Position

Reyes Fleet Management, one of the largest privately held fleets in the U.S., is seeking a Diesel Mechanic Trainee / Fleet Technician Trainee to assist with repairs and maintenance of trailer and tractor equipment at our Reyes Beverage Group shop in Huntington Beach. Requirements

High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) or Technical School Certification.
0 to 2 years of related experience.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles.
Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds.

Trade School Diploma or Certification.

Responsibilities

Accurately inspect, repair, and complete routine maintenance of Fleet equipment.
Complete necessary documentation for repairs and maintenance, maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repairs/inspections completed through the online AssetWorks system.
Learn and assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Replace defective components as instructed.
Collaborate effectively within a team environment and perform tasks in outdoor settings.
Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations, including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices.
This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, and is regulated by the DOT, requiring a current driver qualification file.
