About The Position

The Mechanic Helper is an entry level position that plays a vital role in keeping our fleet at the highest level of cleanliness and functionality. This enables us to maintain a positive work environment for our drivers. We have plenty of advancement opportunities for employees who demonstrate good attendance and a good work ethic. We provide on the job training that is beneficial in facilitating growth in our employees. We’re looking for candidates that have had previous experience working around Tire or Maintenance Shops. Our maintenance facility is a 24/7 operation. This full-time opportunity is part of Hobby Lobby’s Transportation department at our corporate offices in Oklahoma City.

Requirements

Previous experience working in an automotive or truck repair shop environment
General mechanical knowledge to assist with semi-trailer repairs
General mechanical knowledge: brake jobs, changing tires, etc.
Responsible to maintain tools and keep an organized environment
Must have a valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working around Tire or Maintenance Shops
All certifications are considered a Plus!

Responsibilities

Fuel trucks and perform a visual inspection
Wash all Hobby Lobby equipment which includes pulling trailers through wash bay
Performing tire replacement and tire repair
Inspecting and painting equipment, cleaning of work area and cleanliness of main truck shop
Assist drivers with cleanliness of all equipment and moving equipment to and from parking stalls.
