About The Position

Road & Rail Services is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair specialized vehicles, heavy equipment, and rail-related equipment at our Mulberry, Florida, operation. This position is a strong fit for an experienced mechanic who can diagnose problems, complete dependable repairs, and work independently. Your work will directly support safe, reliable operations and help keep equipment ready when it is needed.

Requirements

Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines
Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to safely perform the physical duties of the position
Ability to work independently and manage repair priorities

Nice To Haves

A CDL is preferred but is not required.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment
Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and mechanical systems
Perform preventive maintenance according to established schedules
Repair or replace hydraulic components and other equipment parts
Complete welding, fabrication, and mechanical adjustments as needed
Perform repairs in the shop and outdoors in field conditions
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
Document completed maintenance and repairs
Follow company safety procedures and equipment requirements
