About The Position

The Gill Corporation is one of the world's largest manufacturers of honeycomb, high performance floor panels, cargo compartment liners and original equipment for passenger and freighter aircraft. The company also excels in many other types of reinforced plastics including interior sandwich panels for creating structures such as aircraft galleys and bulkheads, honeycomb core and related products. The Gill Corporation is seeking a Di-Electric Press Operator. Press Nomex, Kevlar and other block per GWI or R&D guidelines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Good math skills
• One or two years of related experience and/or training
• Acceptable Spirometry Test results.
• Must be able to lift, push & pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must have English reading and verbal communication skills sufficient to read, understand and communicate the company operating procedures and policies.
• Must be available to work the shift specified by the position and be flexible to potential overtime on weekends/ holidays.
• This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants will be asked to provide specific documentation to verify U.S. person status under the ITAR and the EAR. Responsibilities

• Press blocks according to GWI in Oil press or Di-Electric presses.
• Align Aluminum pin loops to facilitate expansion process.
• Record material usage and press times on shop work order and computer.
• Assist Stacker operators with boards or caul sheets for blocks.
• Assist Expander operator with block expanding process.
• Apply and practice 5S concept to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Transfer expanded blocks from B4 buffer area to B2 dipping area.
• Record labor transactions in SAP.
• Must be available to work over-time and weekends.
• Other duties may be assigned dependent on TGC business requirements.
