About The Position
Vishay Dale Electronics in Columbus, Nebraska, is seeking a Die Technician/Machinist to perform machining and die work that supports and enhances production processes. The role operates machine-tool equipment to produce tooling fixtures, maintains and troubleshoots precision stamping dies, and checks machining work against specified tolerances. The position is on 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday, from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.; overtime is available as needed. The Columbus facility manufactures resistors and e-beam technology and has approximately 600 employees.
Requirements
- Technical certification and/or 1 to 3 years of machinist experience.
- Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations.
- Must qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable federal regulations because the position requires access to information subject to ITAR and/or EAR.
Nice To Haves
- Prior production experience is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Operate machine-tool equipment, including lathes, drill presses, milling machines, and surface grinders, to produce tooling fixtures.
- Troubleshoot and change out tooling in precision stamping dies as needed.
- Check and inspect machining operations against specified tolerances.
- Make adjustments or repairs to equipment as necessary.
- Identify specification, equipment, or material shortcomings to a Supervisor or Lead-person.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the Supervisor.
