About The Position

Vishay Dale Electronics in Columbus, Nebraska, is seeking a Die Technician to perform machining and die work that supports and improves production processes. The position operates on second shift, Monday through Thursday, from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.; overtime is available as needed. The Columbus site manufactures resistors and e-beam technology and employs around 600 people. The role operates machine-tool equipment to produce tooling fixtures, troubleshoots and changes tooling in precision stamping dies, inspects machining work against specified tolerances, and adjusts or repairs equipment as needed. The technician also identifies specification, equipment, or material shortcomings to a supervisor or lead person and performs other tasks as directed. Requirements

Technical certification and/or 1 to 3 years of machinist experience.
Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations.
Qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by applicable U.S. federal regulations, such as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Prior production experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

Operate machine-tool equipment, including lathes, drill presses, milling machines, and surface grinders, to produce tooling fixtures.
Troubleshoot and change out tooling in precision stamping dies as needed.
Check and inspect machining operations against specified tolerances.
Make adjustments or repairs to equipment as necessary.
Identify specification, equipment, or material shortcomings to a supervisor or lead person.
Perform other tasks as directed by the supervisor.
