About The Position

Come Join the Toledo Tool & Die Team! Located close to the Michigan/Ohio border, Toledo Tool and Die has diligently served the people of both of those great states since 1940. Today Toledo Tool & Die has three facilities in the Toledo area and one in Pioneer, Ohio. Toledo Tool & Die is adding Die Setter 2nd shift to our team to support our continued growth. Hours for this position are typically: 1st Shift: 5:45am-2:00pm Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays)

Requirements

  • A high school education or equivalent with one (1) year minimum experience in die-setting or related technical field, preferably in a metal stamping environment.
  • Read, interpret and comprehend safety, operating and maintenance documents and procedures.
  • Ability to pass mechanical aptitude test.
  • Ability to operate power press.
  • Ability to pass die setter training program.
  • Ability to obtain/retain an Industrial Powered Lift Truck certification.
  • Ability to obtain/retain an Overhead Crane certification.
  • Ability to obtain/retain a Lock out/Tag out Authorization certification.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to ensure delivery requirements.
  • Lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Identified candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays).

Responsibilities

  • Install, align, and secure dies in stamping presses per production schedule and job specifications.
  • Set up tooling and make necessary die adjustments to ensure proper operation and product quality.
  • Perform die changes quickly and accurately to reduce machine downtime.
  • Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
  • Troubleshoot die and press issues during production runs and escalate complex problems as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Accurately complete die setup and production documentation.
  • Assist with press operators and team members as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
