About The Position
We are currently seeking an experienced Die Setter – Automatics to join our team in a fast-paced metal stamping environment. This role is responsible for coordinating die setup operations, ensuring production efficiency, and maintaining safety standards across all assigned punch press machines.
Requirements
- Experience in metal stamping and automatic punch press operations
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and machine operations
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs safely
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct automatic die setters and machine operators based on production priorities
- Set up and change dies on automatic punch press machines
- Inspect parts and raw materials using measuring tools and blueprints
- Monitor press operations, including feeders, cradles, and dies for proper function
- Train team members on safe and efficient machine operation
- Move dies and materials with proper documentation
- Ensure all equipment is operated according to manufacturer specifications
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations
- Report issues or malfunctions to supervisors promptly
- Perform additional duties as assigned
