About The Position

The Die Setter is responsible for working safely and efficiently to ensure that the set-up schedule and production needs are met. This role requires a commitment to continuous improvement and fostering positive relationships with colleagues and leaders, while upholding the Magna Employee’s Charter, Core Values, and the policies and procedures of MST Inc.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety requirements
• Basic understanding of stamping processes

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience as Tool & Die setter is preferred
• Prior experience in a stamping facility preferred
• Certified Crane Operator
• Certified Forklift Driver

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies
• Complete set-up responsibility
• Pre-staging of all set-up (tools, dies, conveyors, chutes, clamping required)
• Establish and maintain communication with other employees and support departments
• Initiate and sustain 5s opportunities
• Supply tool room with necessary dies
• Continually organize die storage area
• Promote good housekeeping (5S)
• Perform other duties as required
