About The Position
The Die Setter is responsible for safely and efficiently setting up dies to meet production schedules and needs. This role requires a commitment to continuous improvement, positive relationships with colleagues and leaders, and adherence to the Magna Employee's Charter, Core Values, and MST Inc. policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience as Tool & Die setter is preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety requirements
- Basic understanding of stamping processes
- Prior experience in a stamping facility preferred
- Certified Crane Operator
- Certified Forklift Driver
Responsibilities
- Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies
- Complete set-up responsibility
- Pre-staging of all set-up (tools, dies, conveyors, chutes, clamping required)
- Establish and maintain communication with other employees and support departments
- Initiate and sustain 5s opportunities
- Supply tool room with necessary dies
- Continually organize die storage area
- Promote good housekeeping (5S)
- Perform other duties as required
