Die Cast - 1st & 3rd Shift Positions Available
About The Position
The Die Cast Operator will create, adapt, and adjust molds used in cast manufacturing. This role involves constructing, adapting, and modifying molds for die cast tooling, metal stamping, and other molding operations. The operator will use various measuring and gauging tools for inspections, set up equipment based on mold requirements, and execute production runs with quality control testing. Maintaining knowledge of materials and products, and assisting machinists and millwrights with the injection molding process are also key aspects of the position. Other related duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of machinery and mold creation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of applicable safety rules.
Responsibilities
- Constructs, adapts, and modifies molds for die cast tooling, metal stamping, and other molding operations.
- Uses various measuring and gauging tools to perform necessary inspections before, during, and after molding operations.
- Sets up equipment based on mold requirements, materials, and tolerances.
- Executes production runs; conducts quality control testing before mold enters production cycle.
- Maintains knowledge of materials and products.
- Assists machinists and millwrights with injection molding process and equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
