About The Position

DaVita is looking for a Dialysis Tech (PCT) to serve our patients at our Ashtabula Dialysis Center in Ashtabula, OH. Paid Training Provided! Some Health Care Experience Preferred. Our PCTs care for up to 4-5 patients at a time. The opening PCT is responsible for preparing the water room and bicarb for patients, testing water for chlorine, and ensuring tools are calibrated. The role involves monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. You will have exposure to blood and needles. PCTs work under the supervision of an RN. This role focuses on building long-term relationships with patients and educating them on Kidney Dialysis related topics. Continuous improvement is encouraged to enhance processes for patients and teammates.

  • Ability to lift minimum of 5 pounds to a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, and use full range of body motions.
  • Ability to interact in person and by phone clearly and efficiently.
  • Ability to use computer and all peripherals as needed to meet goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Some Health Care Experience Preferred
  • Health care experience including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment through direct one-on-one patient care.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
