About The Position

Concerto Renal Services is seeking a PRN Dialysis Patient Care Technician to provide safe and effective hemodialysis therapy to patients in skilled nursing and/or long-term care facilities. The technician works as part of the hemodialysis health care team under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following Concerto policies, procedures, and training, as well as applicable state and federal regulations. The role includes hands-on patient care, dialysis treatment setup and operation, monitoring and documentation, laboratory specimen preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe care environment. The position is per diem and offers a flexible schedule with a minimum of two monthly shifts to pick. Concerto describes opportunities for clinical and corporate career advancement.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current CPR certification or completion upon starting in the unit.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
At least two years of dialysis technician experience.
Dialysis certification required.
Strong focus and attention to detail in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on care to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Initiate and discontinue dialysis treatments according to prescribed orders.
Obtain and document pre- and post-treatment vital signs, weights, and vascular access assessments; report unusual findings to the nurse.
Set up, operate, and perform safety checks on hemodialysis machines.
Administer heparin as permitted by state law.
Document patient treatment details accurately.
Prepare laboratory specimens as prescribed.
Deliver service to patients, families, and staff.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
