About The Position

Concerto Renal Services is seeking a part-time Dialysis Technician to provide safe and effective dialysis therapy as part of a hemodialysis health care team. The technician works under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following Concerto policies, procedures, and training, as well as applicable state and federal regulations. The role is based at Village Andover in Andover, Ohio, and involves a minimum two-day workweek Monday through Friday, plus two Saturdays per month.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current CPR certification, or completion upon starting in the unit.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
At least two years of dialysis technician experience.
Dialysis certification required.
Must pass Ishihara’s Color Blindness test.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on care to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Initiate and discontinue dialysis treatments according to prescribed orders.
Obtain and document pre- and post-treatment vital signs, weight, and vascular access assessments, and report unusual findings to the nurse.
Set up, operate, and perform safety checks on hemodialysis machines.
Administer heparin as permitted by state law.
Document patient treatment details accurately and prepare laboratory specimens as prescribed.
Provide excellent service to patients, families, and staff.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
