About The Position

Concerto Renal Services is seeking a PRN Dialysis Patient Care Technician to provide safe and effective dialysis therapy as part of a hemodialysis healthcare team. The technician works under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following company policies, procedures, and training, and complying with applicable state and federal regulations. The role serves patients in skilled nursing and/or long-term care facilities in the Greater Cleveland Area.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current CPR certification or completion upon starting in the unit.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
Minimum of two years of dialysis technician experience.
Dialysis certification required.
Strong focus and attention to detail in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on care to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments according to prescribed orders.
Obtain and document pre- and post-treatment vital signs, weight, and vascular access assessments, and report unusual findings to the nurse.
Set up, operate, and perform safety checks on hemodialysis machines; administer heparin as permitted by state law.
Accurately document patient treatment details and prepare laboratory specimens as prescribed.
Provide excellent service to patients, families, and staff while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
