The Department of Radiology invites applications for a Diagnostic X-ray Medical Physicist to join the Section of Clinical Imaging Physics, a joint section with the Department of Medical Physics. This Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) Track or Clinician Teacher (CT) Track faculty position offers the opportunity to contribute to patient-centered clinical imaging, advance imaging quality and safety, and engage in education and mentorship within a highly collaborative academic medical center. The UW Departments of Radiology and Medical Physics are internationally recognized for their impact on the development, translation, and clinical practice of medical imaging. Medical physicists play a central role in delivering high-quality imaging care, supporting clinical innovation and quality improvement, educating trainees and providers, and ensuring excellence in safety, accreditation, and regulatory compliance. This is a full-time (100%) position requiring onsite work at a designated campus work location. Clinical work will be performed at UW Health hospitals and clinics on the main campus and throughout the Madison, Wisconsin area. This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations and requires a caregiver check. Applicants will be considered for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor on the CHS track, or Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor on the CT track, with the final title determined by experience and qualifications. Travel is required, and a valid driver's license is necessary.
