We are seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist (MO or DO) to support the Veteran community in the Providence, RI area. This position is open to all candidates, including Locum or Traveling professionals. Requirements

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Physicians must have completed residency training.
  • Diagnostic Radiology Board- eligible or board-certified and current with MOC, ACGME DR/IR certified or IR fellowship-trained diagnostic and interventional radiologist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • If selected, candidates will need to complete credentialing and onboarding requirements consistent with VA medical staff processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with the VA is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Interprets radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine studies
  • Performs basic and advanced image-guided procedures (CT- and ultrasound-guided biopsies and drainages, percutaneous biliary and urologic tube insertions and exchanges) only during weekday hours; there is no IR call (no nights, weekends, or holidays).
  • Participates in multidisciplinary clinical and educational conferences, quality management activities, and institutional committees-maintains specialty education and basic or advanced life support certification.
