About The Position

We are seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist (MO or DO) to support the Veteran community in the Providence, RI area. This position is open to all candidates, including Locum or Traveling professionals. The role involves interpreting various imaging studies and performing basic and advanced image-guided procedures during weekday hours. The position also includes participation in multidisciplinary conferences, quality management activities, and institutional committees, as well as maintaining specialty education and life support certifications.

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
• Physicians must have completed residency training.
• Diagnostic Radiology Board-eligible or board-certified and current with MOC, ACGME DR/IR certified or IR fellowship-trained diagnostic and interventional radiologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with the VA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interprets radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine studies
• Performs basic and advanced image-guided procedures (CT- and ultrasound-guided biopsies and drainages, percutaneous biliary and urologic tube insertions and exchanges) only during weekday hours
• Participates in multidisciplinary clinical and educational conferences, quality management activities, and institutional committees
• Maintains specialty education and basic or advanced life support certification
