About The Position

Optum NY/NJ is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist to join their team in Lake Success, NY. Optum is a clinician-led care organization focused on improving healthcare. The position is at an outpatient imaging center within the largest network of medical groups in the nation. A flexible Monday-Friday onsite and remote schedule is offered. The Radiology Department covers multiple imaging sites in the tri-state region, emphasizing high-quality and timely interpretations. The department utilizes state-of-the-art imaging, including tomosynthesis mammography and image-guided procedures such as breast biopsies, thyroid biopsies, fluoroscopy, joint steroid injections, and arthrograms. Home workstations are available for flexibility and improved quality of life. Communication is facilitated through a shared EMR and additional sharing technology, enabling effortless collaboration within the department and with referring colleagues. Advanced imaging systems and dictation tools are utilized. Requirements

  • Unrestricted licensure in the state of New York or has New York application in process.
  • Active and unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain prior to start.
  • Board Certification or board eligibility in Radiology

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality and timely interpretations across multiple imaging sites in the tri-state region.
  • Perform image-guided procedures including all types of breast biopsies, thyroid biopsies, fluoroscopy, joint steroid injections, and arthrograms.
  • Utilize advanced imaging systems and dictation tools.
  • Communicate effortlessly within the department and with referring colleagues both in and outside of the organization.
