About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRT) specialized requirement in Medical Resonance Imageing (MRI) to join our dynamic team at the Veterans Affairs Long Beach Healthcare System (VALBHS).

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience for contract staff who have specific experience or trained on an MRI equipment similar to VALBHS MRI scanner (1.5T or 3.0T GE MRI scanner), or minimum of one (1) year of current work experience in MRI modality if contract staff do not have GE MRI scanner experience.
• Hold a current valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologist ARRT (R) and Advanced ARRT in MRI (MR) certification for MRI modality.
• Must have demonstrated experience starting Intravenous (IV) and contrast injections.
• Have basic computer skills.
• Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Software (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).

Nice To Haves

• IV certification is preferred but not required.
• Picture Achieving & Communication Systems (PACS) work experience; however, AGFA PACS experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiologic technology procedures in MRI.
• Start Intravenous (IV) and contrast injections.
• Utilize Picture Achieving & Communication Systems (PACS).
• Utilize Microsoft Office Software (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
