About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRT) specialized requirement in Medical Resonance Imageing (MRI) to join our dynamic team at the Veterans Affairs Long Beach Healthcare System (VALBHS).

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience on an MRI equipment similar to VALBHS MRI scanner (1.5T or 3.0T GE MRI scanner), OR minimum of one (1) year of current work experience in MRI modality if not experienced with GE MRI scanners.
• Hold a current valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologist ARRT (R) and Advanced ARRT in MRI (MR) certification for MRI modality.
• Demonstrated experience starting Intravenous (IV) and contrast injections.
• Picture Achieving & Communication Systems (PACS) work experience.
• Basic computer skills. Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Software (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).

Nice To Haves

• IV certification is preferred but not required.
• AGFA PACS experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain MRI equipment.
• Perform MRI scans according to established protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Administer intravenous injections and contrast media.
• Utilize Picture Achieving & Communication Systems (PACS) for image management.
• Maintain basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Software.
