Requirements
- US Citizens
- Radiology Certification: Must meet credentialing standards in 42 CFR Part 75, including successful completion of an accredited educational program and certification as a radiographer.
- One year of specialized experience which includes performing radiographic procedures or examinations and maintaining/troubleshooting equipment.
- OR One full year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Diagnostic Radiology/Radiography.
- OR Combination of education and experience may be used to qualify.
Responsibilities
- Assure sterile supplies, contrast materials, catheters, and other required equipment are present and arranged appropriately in the imaging suite.
- Administer contrast under the supervision of the attending physician.
- Assist the radiologist during the procedure and perform follow up imaging independently.
- Perform a variety of routine to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures.
- Ensure all radiographs demonstrate the required anatomy for dictation by the radiologist.
- Assist radiologists with fluoroscopic and other special radiographic examinations which require the administration of contrast material.
