About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for the Ultrasound Department at Baptist MD Anderson in Jacksonville, Florida. This full-time, days position works Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; call and holiday rotation are required. The sonographer provides patient care through advanced imaging by performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, assisting physicians, and helping ensure patient safety and comfort. The primary location is the BMDA Building at 1301 Palm Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32207. Eligible hires may receive up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience working in a hospital setting.
- 1–2 years of hospital-based department-specific work experience.
- 1–2 years of ultrasound experience.
- 1–2 years of customer service experience.
- Vocational school education.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- If hired, obtain Sonography certification from ARDMS or ARRT (S) and RVT, ARRT (VS), or RVS within 12 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification preferred.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) preferred.
- Registered Technologist in Sonography (ARRT) preferred.
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification from CCI – Cardiovascular preferred.
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification from ARDMS preferred.
