About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Diagnostic Sonographer for our Ultrasound Department at Baptist ED Silverleaf in St. Augustine, Florida. This is a PRN, Varied Shifts opportunity. At Baptist Health, our Diagnostic Sonographers play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care through advanced imaging by performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, assisting physicians, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients.
Requirements
- 1-2 Years Experience Working in a Hospital Setting
- 1-2 Years Hospital-based department-specific work experience
- Ultrasound Experience
- Experience with vascular ultrasound
- 1-2 Years Customer Service Experience
- Vocational School
- Basic Life Support (BLS)-AHA Required
Nice To Haves
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) - ARDMS Preferred
- Registered Radiologic Technologist- ARRT Preferred
- Registered Technologist in Sonography - ARRT Preferred
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) - CCI – Cardiovascular Preferred
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - ARDMS Preferred
- If hired, must obtain certification in Sonography from the ARDMS or ARRT (S) and RVT or ARRT(VS) or RVS within 12 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Performs high-quality, diagnostic ultrasound and peripheral vascular procedures
- Promotes goodwill among coworkers and other departments and has a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients
- Is compliant with mandatory education and health requirements
