About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for the Ultrasound Department at Baptist MD Anderson in Jacksonville, Florida. The role is a full-time, day-shift opportunity, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with call and holiday rotation required. Diagnostic Sonographers provide patient care through advanced imaging by performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, assisting physicians, and helping ensure patients’ safety and comfort. The position performs diagnostic ultrasound and peripheral vascular procedures and promotes a positive, comforting experience for patients and good relationships with coworkers and other departments. The position is based at the Baptist MD Anderson BMDA Building at 1301 Palm Ave, Jacksonville, Florida 32207. Eligible hires may receive up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience working in a hospital setting.
- 1–2 years of hospital-based, department-specific work experience.
- 1–2 years of ultrasound experience.
- 1–2 years of customer service experience.
- Vocational school education.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- If hired, obtain certification in sonography from ARDMS or ARRT (S) and RVT or ARRT (VS) or RVS within 12 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification preferred.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification preferred.
- Registered Technologist in Sonography (ARRT) certification preferred.
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification from CCI – Cardiovascular preferred.
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification from ARDMS preferred.
